Our Promise

Clean clothes shouldn't come at a cost.

For more than a century, dry cleaning has leaned on chemical solvents — most commonly perchloroethylene, which the U.S. EPA classifies as a likely human carcinogen. We've built our shop on a process the EPA recognizes as a safer alternative: professional wet cleaning.

Water-Based Process

Our wet cleaning uses water, biodegradable detergents, and computer-controlled washers and dryers that manage moisture, motion, and tension precisely — no perc, no hydrocarbon solvents, no chemical off-gassing in your closet.

Gentle On Fabric

Wools, silks, cashmeres, suedes, and structured pieces — including many "dry clean only" garments — can be safely cleaned in a modern wet cleaning machine, with color and shape preserved over the life of the garment.

Better For Sanford

No hazardous solvent waste leaving our shop, no perc emissions going into the air or groundwater, no chemical-bearing filters heading to landfill. A neighborhood cleaner that does right by the neighborhood.
